THE FESTIVAL WE WANT
Three years of intense hard work, exponential growth, great satisfactions and being sure to aim for a big leap in quality; these are the reasons that led Civitafilm Commission to the great change that will be changing name and location of a festival that had established itself as the Tolfashortfilmfest.The new edition of the Festival will be called:
International Tour Film Festival - 4th edition of the International Film Festival and will be held in Civitavecchia from 3 to 11 July, 2015. The event was founded in 2012 thanks to the synergy between the town of Tolfa, the Foundation Ca.Ri.Civ. And the Lazio Region. In three years of history and continued growth we have achieved 600 works entered from 50 countries on 5 continents.
This great development has brought us, as of this 4th edition, to change the logo and location moving to Civitavecchia, the place of origin of the association, by making our partners also Port Authority, Costa Cruises and Grimaldi Lines and confirming the important institutional partners already acquired such as: Lazio Region, Mibact (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism), Foundation Ca.Ri.Civ. ; Istituto Luce-Cinecitta, Rufa (University of Fine Art), SNGCI (Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists) Panalight, RBCasting, Legambiente and Amesty International.
This fourth edition provides a very articulate development that will grow in the months before and after the event with the intention of keeping alive in the time the interest of the community and the media in our country. And in fact our intention to interact with the countries and the neighboring regions, creating a collaboration and synergy between various cities, all aimed at spreading the audiovisual and cultural development and tourism in their respective countries to be exported to the Mediterranean. With me (I hold the Presidency of the Festival), there will be inseparable Constance Saccarelli (Festival Director) and Andrea Donato (Thecnical Director).
The Artistic Direction is instead entrusted to a character of very thick and competence such as Luc Toutounghi CEO of Se-ma-for Produkcja Filmowa in Lodz, Poland, who boasts two Oscar in the animation industry; member of the GSFA (Groupement Suisse du Film d'Animation) SFP (Swiss Producer Association) and the Polish Filmmakers assosiation as well as Director of the "International Animation Festival SMF", specializing in the art of Stop Motion. You will start bringing a preview of the 2015 Festival aboard the m/v MSC Splendida departing from Civitavecchia March 2, 2015 to make calls at the ports of Palermo, Tunis, Barcelona, Marseille and Genoa; aboard the presentation of the festival and a program of works from various countries around the world.
The festival will then make a pre-official opening in late June in Viterbo in the prestigious event called "Caffeine" where will be organized a shooting film and other side events at issue. From 3 to 11 July there will be the official event in Civitavecchia with the competition itself, the master classes with international characters such as Anthony Christov (Art Director at Pixar); retrospective on the films of Malaysia, a country that will be present at the festival with an official delegation; a workshop linked to the tour operators that will take place aboard the Costa Cruises, and many other initiatives.
Following are planned weekends with "pills of Festival" (ie, the winning entries and some special guests to be announced) in neighboring countries such as Allumiere, Tolfa, Santa Marinella that have officially joined the initiative and others in the district that will join soon. Finally, the new "On Tour", the international circuit and promotion in the world of the festival and, consequently, of our city.
